Adopt a Medical Resident
CCHF is proud to introduce a new program called Adopt a Medical Resident.
With the help of donors like you, we can raise funds to bring new doctors to our Emergency Department, by sponsoring 1 medical resident each year from 2019-2021 to receive specialty training in emergency medicine.
In exchange for training, participating doctors will sign contracts to work in our Emergency Department for a minimum of 2 years.
Our Hospital will match donor funds this year -- so we can recruit 4 new doctors over the next three years! Together we will contribute to the future health of our community.
In partnership with Queen’s University
It’s an exciting time here at CCH! With the launch of our Adopt a Medical Resident program, our Hospital will become a satellite training location for Queen’s School of Medicine and participating residents will train with doctors, right here at home.
A specialty field, requiring essential training
Due to the volume of patients and types of cases at CCH, we need to recruit doctors who are specialized in emergency medicine. Did you know? CCH is considered a large community hospital, taking referrals from across our region.
By partnering with Queen’s, we will recruit new doctors with the emergency medicine training our patients require, from a highly competitive program.
Funds raised beyond our annual $135,000 Adopt a Medical Resident goal will purchase equipment to give our doctors the proper tools to care for our community.
